Hello, my name is Amy. I also answer to Little Bear Stumbles on the trail. But most of you should know that since I’ve created this page for my friends and family. I am a 40 something year old living in the south east and living with my high school sweetheart/soul mate. I was diagnosed with Lupus in 1997 and since have been trying to live an active and healthy lifestyle. I have run a couple of marathons and even completed an Ironman triathlon. I am now on to my next adventure…Backpacking. I hope to one day complete a thru hike of the Appalachian Trail.
AWW little Amy Dootles. hope your having a blast!

Hi Ami….I was your patient and I live in NH near the White Mountains. Carla gave us your web info. Would love to pick you up for a shower, food or good night sleep. The closest spot is below Mt. Mooselauk where you cross route 112 in North Woodstock. Also could get you from Cannon Mt. or Mt. Lafayette in Franconia. If not, have a wonderful trip.

OMG, Martha
Would love to stop in to see you. Currently I am wet and freezing after hiking the rain the last two days in PA.

Well Hello LBS!! I am surprised to have you “like” my latest entry here. My family and friends don’t even know that I have a blog – for what it’s worth since I haven’t been able to blog while on the trail… That however is not a problem now that I’m not on the trail. Long story. Anyway…I’d love to be in touch with you – If you can contact any one of the following thru-hikers, I lost their contacts when my phone STB (sh*t the bed); they have my phone number and I’d love it if they contacted me again so I can be in touch with them.

I think those are the only ones who have my number. It’s great reading your blog. Makes me wish things had been different with my hike – I had wanted to use my blog as a ‘journal’ but that wasn’t to be.
The very best wishes for you and your journey. Congratulations on your success thus far!!! I love your pictures.

Hey BUZZ CUT,
I’m sorry to hear that you are off the trail and were not enjoying it. I feel that the weather is the most difficult part. I try to be in town during the rain, but it doesn’t always work out and I’ve had some long days in the rain.
Of the names you mentioned above I only know CUJOE and DJ and I think that they are behind me. I haven’t seen their names in the shelter logs or any of the other names but I will keep a look out for them.
Thank you for the well wishes. I was lucky enough to hook up with another woman who hikes the same number of miles as me. So we have shared lodging and shuttle expenses.

Forgot to ask but do you know anything about the guy who roomed with us at the Teahouse Hostel? Was his name Chris?

Chris Rountree -aka- Halfway.
I know he doesn’t have a phone and uses iPad to sent emails (which is how I keep in touch with him). Last I knew he was laid up in DWG with shin-splints but he did leave and was making some progress. His last email (about 4 days ago) said he wouldn’t have access to wi-fi for a while.

Thanks Cindy,
Glad you are enjoying the blog. Jim did a charter yesterday and said things went well for him, but of course I still worry.
